Press release: Täby Kommun Automates Client Environment with Specops Deploy

The Organization´s Computing Environment is Managed by a Fully Automated Solution for Software Distribution, using Specops Deploy.

Täby Kommun, with its´ 2,600 users,  is one of the leading municipalities in Sweden in terms of IT infrastructure and in recent years they have been at the forefront with their Microsoft platform. The two key components when selecting a solution were a high degree of automation, and simple management of existing IT infrastructure. Rapid ROI (Return on investment) and the smoothness of the solution were further reasons why Specops Deploy, an award-winning Windows 7 deployment software, was selected for the task.

Since Specops products are one hundred per cent integrated with the Microsoft platform and Active Directory, neither extra effort nor investment was required to get a fully automated client management solution with OS deployment in place. Today, Specops Deploy is used for application deployment and distribution of operating systems, and for patch management WSUS is being used.

He continued: “With the new solution in place, we can re-install any computer in less than 30 minutes, either with our standard Windows XP platform or with our new Windows 7 platform along with all of our applications, without the need to be physically on site - We’re really happy!“

All Specops products are extremely user-friendly and fully integrated with Active Directory and Group Policy. Because they are based on the existing Microsoft environment, there is no need of new hardware, consultancy or training kits to put the solution in place.
