Upgrade

The information below will help you upgrade to the latest version of Specops Deploy/OS. Before upgrading, you should:

  • Contact your account representative for a new license key (only if you're upgrading from 6 to 7).
  • Locate and read the Specops Deploy/OS product documentation, including the release notes to evaluate whether an upgrade is necessary.

For a successful upgrade, it is important that you complete all of the tasks outlined in the sections below.

NOTE

which steps to follow in the Specops Deploy OS upgrade guide, depends on the version of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) currently installed. The latest version of the MDT is required for upgrading.

If you already have the latest version of the MDT installed, you do not need to follow the instructions in the Prerequisites section, and you only need to perform step 1 in the Post-Upgrade information section.

Your currently installed version of the MDT can be found in Programs and features on your Specops Deploy OS Image server.

For the latest version of the MDT, visit Download Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
