Migrate to Windows 7

If you are looking for a Windows 7 migration tool, this is the solution for you. The product can be up and running in your environment in less than an hour, and you could have Windows 7 installed in your entire network in half a day.

Automated OS deployment

The OS deployment feature is based on standard components such as Windows Deployment Services and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010. It handles these two components automatically and allows you to do everything you want with them in an enterprise environment.

This means that you can start quickly and easily. You will be able to do everything yourself, without learning any complex new infrastructure or depending on consultants. Install or reinstall computers at will with the guidance of our intelligent wizard.

Expanded Microsoft functionality

MDT 2010 and WAIK is the base of our product. We have then built a layer on top of that to expand functionality.

We use an image server to work with and handle the images, drivers and other installation resources and deployment servers relying on WDS which we synchronize automatically via DFS-R. The clients are installed with Multicast if the network supports it, or else unicast, and there is no difference if the client is running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. The process uses USMT (User State Migration Toolkit) to save the users settings and files (documents etc), installs Windows 7, and then restores the user’s settings and files again. All the applications have to be installed in the image or after OS installation.

Long term benefits - reinstalling computers easily

We support bare metal installations and OS upgrades and reinstallations. These can be triggered directly from AD (Active Directory Users & Computer, right click on a computer/OU) or via our control panel. We also support scheduled reinstallations via Wake on LAN. For example, automatic reinstallation of a classroom each Sunday night and Tuesday night with different images based on what classes will take place.

Some other features:

  • Capture of a system to make into a master image is supported
  • Policy based rules for image management and settings
  • Driver management
  • Good visible GUI for progress report of installing clients
  • Supports bypassing the F12 PXE Prompt to automate the installation in all scenarios
  • Real Time Logfiles for client troubleshooting
  • Easy to use system
